To generate a trustworthy
timestamp, it requires an accurate time source that cannot be reset
to an earlier time value. The time source must be secure from physical
and electronic attacks.
A Global Positioning
System (GPS) clock can be a good time server. It acquires precision
time information from the Global Positioning System satellites.
The time can be accurate to within 130 nanosecond (130/1 000 000
000 second).
