Project detail requirement definition
The project team studies the business requirement and defines the scope of the project. Equipment and components required for the prototype system and the roles of the project team members are identified. Internal and external training for the team members are conducted.

Design and develop security protocol and system architecture
The project team engages in more detailed design and development of the security protocol, system architecture, accurate time capture, information flow, signing mechanism, platform requirement and system security requirement.

Functionality write-up and promotion
The project begins to appear in selected media. The project team prepares and develops publicly accessible information for the general public and the concerning industrial sectors.

Industry liaison and business development
The project team identifies and studies the specific business processes and promotes the concept of digital timestamping to key players in the market.

Time-stamping service agency setup
A prototype timestamping service would be setup within the Information Technology Services Centre at The Chinese University of Hong Kong.

Partners recruitment
The project team recruits representative strategic partners to the project. This process would involve seminars, workshops, and other promotional exercises, as well as follow-up interviews and demonstrations in related business corporations.

B2B/B2C users recruitment and operation
B2B/B2C users identified will be invited to carry out trial applications of the timestamping service. The project team will offer assistance to these collaborating partners and users in integrating their businesses with the various programming interfaces of the system, and in tackling technical problems encountered.

Individual users recruitment and operation
The project team will promote timestamping application for the protection of intellectual property of individual users.

System refinement
The project team will collect feedback from trial users and in-house specialists on functionality, integrity, security, system response time and other aspects of the system. Components of the system will be refined whenever necessary to enhance its applicability.

Post-production assessment
The project team will look into further business opportunity of the system and formulate with strategic partners about possible directions for future development.

Packaging of deliverables and products
All the perfected components will be integrated and packaged for license.
